Dear Ben,
Please accept both from myself and on behalf of the World Bridge Federation our
most sincere condolences for the sudden and unexpected passing of dear Max,
which leaves us incredulous and grieved. It’s a very sad day for the Bridge Family.
Max was a great personality who honored his Country, but above all was a great
gentleman who contributed by his example in underlining the value of fair-play,
honesty, distinction, tolerance, without any discrimination, peculiar to the bridge
discipline.
I knew Max since more than 40 years and we were linked by a reciprocal friendship
and estimate. I had the opportunity to appreciate his kindness, professionalism and
dedication and I always took care of his precious advices. He officially left, but he
was always with us behind the scenes with his precious pointers and suggestions.
We will miss him, but will always remind him with affection.
