I was saddened to hear the news of the death of your Father.
I have known Max since his early days within the EBU and subsequently had the pleasure of working with him in his role there and also in the European Bridge League and the World Bridge Federation. I recall having played against him in some Hubert Phillips matches as well as with him in some friendly internationals against Ireland. I am quite sure that you are aware of his significant contribution and influence within the bridge world and the extent to which he was held in the highest esteem by all those that knew him.
My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.
