You do not know me but I was a friend of your father.
Max worked a lot with me for the WBF and it was always a joy and a pleasure. I was born in Lancashire so we spoke the same language and understood each other very well. The job of Chief Director for the WBF is stressful and at times Max showed it but he was always patient sensible and able to use his commonsense. On the Laws Committee his contributions were invaluable. We will miss him in a big way.
You may be proud of your father. I personally will grieve for him. He deserved a much longer retirement.
